National Overseer for the Church of God of Prophecy Trust in the UK and France

 

He is a leading advocate for International Development, providing motivation and inspiration across denominations for the relief of poverty and improving the quality of life for those who are down trodden and socially disadvantaged. Bishop Powell has developed extensive relationships with the leaders of the established, and free churches for the purpose of strengthening the ecumenical movement among Christians and fostering evangelical initiatives for advancing the gospel.

Wilton is Chair,  and founding member of RAFFA  an International Development Agency charity, set up to assist and facilitate international denominational linkages between the Church of God of Prophecy and Churches in developing nations. He inaugurated the Partnership Protocol between the Church of God of Prophecy and the New Testament Church of God for Ministry and social responsibility in the UK.

Wilton is a founding member and currently serves as Honorary President of Nehemiah UCHA, a registered Social Housing Association providing accommodation and shelter within the West Midlands region. He is a Trustee for a wide range of groups including Christian Aid International Development, the Evangelical Alliance,  the One People Commission and the Queens Theological Foundation.

With over 40 years experience of leadership within Church and Industry, Wilton is a much sought- after international  keynote speaker. Wilton has also coached and developed Church Leaders and Teams in the UK and the Caribbean. He engages with  the House of Commons and Leaders across the Political spectrum.

Wilton and first and foremost, a “Peoples person”, He has been an outstanding pastor, caring for some of the smallest and the largest congregations in the UK, during which time,   he pastored nine churches in three regions of the UK.

He has been married to Delna for over 42 years and has two daughters Davinia and Marielle and a son-in-law, David.
